What is Paintless Dent Removal?
Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) has been used on the automotive assembly line for years, and since the mid-eighties has become popular with the thinner body skins and flexible paints of today's' vehicles.

What a PDR Technician does is use specially designed tools to gently massage a ding or minor dent from the inside of the panel back to its original shape.

At Auto "Dent"ist, our Paintless Dent Removal (no paint-method) process can remove dings and minor dents by simply working behind the vehicles' panel and pushing the damage out.

How long does an average repair take?
The average repair time usually takes 10 to 20 minutes for a minor ding, and most work can be accomplished in less than one-hour.

What Percentage of Dings and Dents are repairable with PDR?
With PDR approximately 80 to 90 percent of most dings and minor dents are repairable.

What types of Dings and Dents cannot be repaired with PDR?
Most types of dings and minor dents can be repaired virtually undetectable, but there are some problem areas.
Very deep dings and dents where the metal has been pushed too deep for a perfect repair (metal stretching has occurred). 80-90% could be expected, ask technician for projected outcome.

Dents located near the panels' very edge. These dents are often found right on the seam making access to work the dent difficult.

Dings, dents, and creases that are sharp were metal stretching has occurred many times can be made to look better (approximately 90%-95% perfection) at a high cost savings over traditional body shops, but depending on the severity of the damage in many cases a 100% perfection is not possible.

What are the advantages of PDR vs traditional Body Shop work?
With PDR the vehicles' original manufactures finish is not disturbed since there is no need for fillers, sanding or painting. Since there is no painting involved, there is no need to worry about color-mismatching. No overnight stays or rental car is required since most repairs can be done in less than one-hour. Most importantly the vehicles' resale value is maintained.

How much does PDR cost?
Paintless Dent Removal cost approximately 1/4 to 1/2 the rates of traditional body shops, with repairs starting as low as $99.
